The Six Meters Marathon 2011

OH3AG invites you to participate into the Eighth Global Six Meters Marathon. The objective of the Marathon is to work\u00a0as many DXCC countries as possible<\/strong>\u00a0between Saturday May 7th, 2011 at 00.00 UTC and Sunday August 7th, 2011 at 24.00 UTC on six meters band. You can follow this contest online at\u00a0http:\/\/6m.dy.fi<\/a><\/p>\n

Rules<\/p>\n

1. The Six Meters Marathon 2011 is open to all amateur radio operators world wide.
\n2. The objective of the contest is to activate the use of six meters band.
\n3. The contesters are listed by the number of worked DXCC countries.
\n4. This contest will have a continuing follow-up at http:\/\/6m.dy.fi where stations are listed according the worked DXCC countries.<\/p>\n

5. Time: May 7th, 2011 at 00.00 UTC – August 7th, 2011 at 24.00 UTC.
\n6. Classes (only single operator – no multi operator participation):
\na) World (unlimited top 20)
\nb) Africa
\nc) Asia
\nd) Europe
\ne) North America
\nf) Oceania
\ng) South America
\nh) Finland
\nThere will be a separate listing on our web site for each class like for Class H (Finland):
\nOH3SIX 47. The world class list is collected from continental lists.<\/p>\n

7. All modes are permitted.
\n8. Participants are asked to update their worked countries online.<\/p>\n

\nThe Marathon participation procedure:<\/p>\n

First every marathoner has to send an email to the Contest Director Hannu Saila OH3WW at marathon@saila.org
\n(Please note that the contest will be over at 7th of August 24.00 UTC.)<\/p>\n

You should include your personal information and a valid reply email address to get
\nneeded information described below.
\nEveryone will then get a personal username (your call sign) and a password which allow
\nto use the online log keeping. This information will be delivered via an email.<\/p>\n

In this log the Marathoner can mark every new DXCC country he\/she has
\nworked. One may not make duplicate entries.
\nEvery log can be viewed by all other competitors.
\nErroneous loggings can be deleted by the competitor.<\/p>\n

Your updating includes following information:
\ndate (dd\/mm) + time UTC (mmhh) + worked DXCC (like OH or VE) + call + mode<\/p>\n

Updated results will be showed online immediately at http:\/\/tamrinki.fi\/6m\/mresults.php
\nThere will be also listings according to the categories but these will not be
\nupdated very often.
\nPaper logs are not accepted.<\/strong>\u00a0The contest governance will happen over the Internet.
\n9. The trophy winners will be published on August 14th, 2011 at on our web site\u00a0http:\/\/6m.dy.fi<\/a>
\n10. We do not accept logs in any other way than online log keeping.<\/p>\n

How to Join to The Six Meters Marathon 2011<\/em><\/h1>\n

You can join to the contest by
\nsending an email to contest keeper\u00a0Hannu (OH3WW)<\/a>
\nand applicating an info with\u00a0your call sign. Check the\u00a0rules<\/a>.
\n
\n<\/em>Note: password delivery will start 1 or 2 weeks before the Marathon 2011.<\/em><\/p>\n

We will send a reply mail back to you.
\nThere you will get the username and the password and direct link to your private on-line log page.
\nThere you keep your records and there you can send comments to the Frontpage.<\/em><\/p>\n


\nIf you do not get an answer but you can see your call in the Marathon 2010 standings
\n<\/em>please check first your spam box. After that ask us to send you the information once more.
\nWe will use other address to bypass the possible spam filters.<\/em><\/p>\n

Remember that you can join also during the Marathon run. Last signing will be accepted at 31st of July.<\/p>\n
